I think that this Cell Theory Rubric would be a great addition to our Cell Unit Plan. I can tell that you have spent a lot of time considering the categories, as well as the breakdown of your expectations for each category. I have a few suggestions on improvement for the rubric- first, are all of the categories worth the same amount of points (i.e. is the rubric out of 28 points)? I think that some categories (listening/discussing, problem solving, etc) could be worth more than other categories (such as spelling). Consider assigning a certain weight for each category (i.e. problem solving is 25%, spelling is 5%, etc). Another suggestion would be to not start multiple columns within a category with the same words. For example, instead of repeating "There are x spelling or punctuation errors...," consider changing one sentence to "Documentations and questions have 2-3 spelling and punctuation errors" in order to not seem redundant. I am also guilty of this, but it's better for the student to not believe that we just copied and pasted each column and only modified a word or two. Overall, a great rubric!
